THE VILLAGE
The village of Drymen sits in the hills at the western end of the Campsie Fells, overlooking the Endrick Water as it nears Loch Lomond, referred to by author Sir Walter Scott as the “Queen of all Scottish Lakes”. Drymen has a long history. In the 18th and 19th centuries the village was a popular stopover for Highland cattle drovers
Conveniently, Drymen is just a 5 minute car journey away from Arcadia Glamping, an 8 minute cycle or a 20 minute walk. The village has good facilities including a small Spar supermarket, pubs, restaurants, cafés, bakery, butcher, pharmacy, doctor’s surgery, and gift shops
